The short version: the games are free, you do not need an account, and nothing that tracks you loads until you say yes. Choosing "Essential only" is a real choice and everything keeps working.

WHO WE ARE

Brainrot Politics is an independent one-person games site based in London, United Kingdom. For UK GDPR purposes the site owner is the data controller. For anything in this policy, including a request about your data, write to psgintegrations@gmail.com (also listed on the about page).

WHAT WE STORE ON YOUR DEVICE

Essential, always on

• Your cookie choice is remembered in your browser's local storage so we do not ask again on every page.
• Game progress, such as your best winning margin in Clacton Decides!, is saved in local storage on your own device. It never leaves your browser and we cannot see it. Clearing your browser data deletes it.

These are strictly necessary for the site to function as you have asked, so they do not require consent.

Optional, only with your consent

• Analytics (Google Analytics 4). Aggregate numbers: how many people visited, which game they played, roughly which country they came from. IP addresses are anonymised. We use this to work out which games are worth making more of.
• Advertising (Google AdSense). If and when ads run on this site, Google and its partners may set cookies to serve and measure them.

Neither loads at all unless you press "Accept all". If you choose "Essential only", no analytics or advertising scripts are loaded, and no such cookies are set.

CHANGING YOUR MIND

You can change your choice whenever you like: open cookie settings. You can also clear cookies and site data for this domain in your browser settings, which resets everything including your saved scores.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO

• No accounts, no sign-ups, no passwords.
• No newsletter, and no email addresses collected on this site.
• No selling or sharing of personal data with anyone for their own purposes.
• No content aimed at children under 13, and no knowing collection of their data.

LEGAL BASIS

Essential storage is used on the basis of legitimate interests in providing a working website. Analytics and advertising are used only on the basis of your consent, which you may withdraw at any time using the link above. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened.

YOUR RIGHTS

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Because this site holds no accounts and stores game data only on your own device, in practice there is very little for us to hold. For anything relating to analytics or advertising data, contact us via the about page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

THIRD PARTIES

When enabled with your consent, this site loads services from Google (Analytics and AdSense). Their handling of data is covered by Google's privacy policy. You can review Google's advertising controls at adssettings.google.com. The site is hosted by Ionos, which processes server log data such as IP addresses for security and reliability.

CHANGES

If this policy changes in any meaningful way, the date at the top will change and the cookie banner will ask again where consent is affected.
